Kiddypaint

Turn any photo into a colour-by-number page

On Google Play · iPhone version coming soon

Kiddypaint turns a photo into a colour-by-number page a child can fill in. Point the camera at the dog, a favourite cuddly toy or a drawing they made, and Kiddypaint works out the shapes, picks a palette and numbers every region. Then they colour it in, tap by tap, and watch their own picture appear.

Who it’s for

Children who like colouring, and parents who would rather it be their child’s own world on the page than a stock cartoon. Younger children get big shapes and few colours; patient colourers can go for lots of small regions.

Features

On Google Play now, as a one-off purchase. On iPhone and iPad it will be called Kiddypaint; that version is ready and waiting to be published on the App Store.

Privacy

Kiddypaint has no network access at all. Photos are turned into pages on the device and never leave it: no uploads, no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no crash reports, no in-app purchases. The camera only opens when your child taps the camera button, and the app only sees the one photo you pick from the library. The details are in the privacy policy.
